Abstract :
A detection algorithm for single tones and chords which sounds several tones simultaneously has been developed. The algorithm which wavelet packets analyses and extended Kalman filtering are applied to is designed for log-normal state vector, distributed initial phase and observation noise under the central limit theorem. Derivation of the algorithm as well as practical performance for transcription of chords, intervals and single tones are introduced.
