Abstract :
In this work the design of a photovoltaic (PV) charging system for a remote rural area using SEPIC converters is presented. The goal of the system is to charge the batteries and maintain a constant output voltage, that is not affected by the moment of day, time or whether conditions. Two types of SEPIC convertors are tested, simulated and finally compared.
