Abstract :
With the rapid development of computer graphic, the graphics real-time rendered by game engines tend gradually towards graphics offline rendered by 3D softwares. The machinima technology receives an increasing attention. This paper proposes a new technique to control the virtual camera semi-automatically in game engines for machinima making. Compared to the manual control, this technique results in more stable and accurate machinima shots. Compared to the automatic control, this technique gives more creative freedom to machinima makers. The crucial point is that, with the introduction of Camera Language, using this technique for machinima making becomes convenient and efficient.
