Abstract :
Most of the existing works concerning wavelet methods for 1D signal denoising are based on hard or soft thresholding estimators. However, their application to image denoising does not always lead to satisfactory results. In this work, we present a new nonlinear estimation method whose characteristics are adapted to the statistics of the image under study.
