Abstract :
A bipolar direct digital synthesiser with 5kHz to 100MHz output capability is described. Channel spacing is 5kHz with a `hop´ time between discrete output frequencies of less than 17ns. Spurious output rejection is better than -32dbc, and close-to-carrier measurements indicate a noise floor lower than -130dbc at +/- 25KHz.
