Abstract :
The authors present the analysis of rectangular microstrip patch radiator excited by an aperture cut in the common wall between the waveguide and the ground plane of the patch radiator. The exciting slot is oriented parallel to the radiating faces of the rectangular patch radiator operating in the resonant mode having the lowest resonant frequency. The cases of both transverse and longitudinal slots in the broad wall of the waveguide are studied. The numerical results of the real and imaginary part of impedance/admittance loading on waveguide are presented
