Abstract
In many practical applications, e.g. radar jamming, it is of interest to analyse the addition of two or more completely polarized and partially coherent waves considered as stochastic vector processes of the type studied recently, for example, by Wanielik and Stock (1987). The Stokes vector description of the waves has been applied in order to facilitate their representation on the Poincare sphere and investigation of their scattering by the use of radar power 4×4 matrices, similar to Mueller matrices in optics, and defined in previous works of this author. Exact formulae are presented for addition of such waves in general case of nonorthogonally polarized and partially coherent components. Special cases of component waves which are either orthogonally polarized and partially coherent or non orthogonally polarized but completely coherent are also discussed
