Abstract :
Optimization of capacitor switching is very important in distribution network for its efficiency in reducing power loss of the system. In this paper, improved genetic algorithm is used to find the optimal running state, whose power loss is the minimum. The United States PG&E distribution network is used as an example and the optimization result is efficient.
