Abstract
In this paper, the classic finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method is reviewed and novel schemes are implemented for modelling metamaterials at various frequency bands. Numerical results are presented in comparison with those from analytical and numerical approaches. The possibility of their applications in antenna and microwave engineering are also be discussed.
