Abstract :
Many of the characteristics of endfire tapered slot antennas that make them useful for array applications are discussed. Two different applications have motivated most of the work to date; wideband scanning arrays and focal plane arrays for imaging and multiple beam reflector systems. Typical configurations are presented along with data on impedance and radiation patterns. Recent results disclosing potentially detrimental polarization characteristics are shown and discussed
