Abstract :
Transaction Level Modeling is a widely used abstraction technique in the design of embedded systems. In this paper we compare existing transaction level modeling styles for communication modeling. Furthermore, a new modeling style is presented based on transaction events, which combine state update with process triggering. Our proposed modeling style leads to simple models and to improved simulation performance with a speedup of up to 1.5 at the same time.
