Abstract :
An outline of a modelling procedure for large open distributed communication architectures is presented. A formulation of belief structures for analyzing distributed system functions in terms of objects operating within an uncertain environment is also presented. Timing aspects of the migration of an object from location to location within a distributed system is discussed as a practical case study
