Abstract :
This paper designed a remote video surveillance system, Which used a high-performance Cortex-A8 core board, with Samsung S5PV210 as the main processor, and combined ARM embedded development platform, in the Linux operating system, used a MJPG-streamer video server software. This design on the basis of porting the Linux operating system, and capturing the images by the USB camera, and on the basis of transplanting MJPG-streamer video server software, through using the functions of MJPG-streamer video server related plug-ins, can complete these functions of video acquisition, video compression, video transmission and video display on the remote PC. Test results show that the whole design system can complete real-time remote monitoring capabilities independently.
