Abstract
To apply software architecture techniques in domain specific development becomes an emergent issue. Many industrial domains such as aeronautics, automobile develop their own domain specific ADLs to benefit the advantages of software architecture techniques. However, for small domains, this is very costly in terms of time, manpower and money. However, domain specific software architecture (DSSA) development is one of their emergent requirements. In existing ADLs, there is merely an ADL which supporting all different software architectures produced during domain-specific software development. Thus in this paper, we first formalise domain specific software development (DSSD) from the views of domain driven, component-based and architecture-centric. Then we present our proposed ADL - Dedal2. Dedal2 supports all architecture descriptions in different development step of DSSD and all component models in different abstraction and domain levels.
