Abstract :
An array of diffusively coupled limit-cycle oscillators with a regular monotonic trend of natural frequencies is used to demonstrate that the disorder introduced in the form of random deviations from a linear trend of frequencies can weaken considerably desynchronization induced oscillator death and increase oscillation intensity substantially
