Abstract
Distributed energy resources (DER) interfaced with Z-source inverter (ZSI) using right control are capable of providing dynamic voltage regulation near the load end user. This paper presents Z-source inverter interfaced with DE (photovoltaic cell, fuel cell, etc.) connected to grid can boost DC voltage to supply voltage regulation dynamically, in particular with application of adaptive voltage control algorithm with double carrier pulse width modulation control. The simulation results in different system condition show that Z-Source inverter with DE is capable of proving dynamic voltage regulation without using boost converter. Since this system has advantages over voltage source inverter (VSI) interfaced with DE as it reduces system cost and increases overall efficiency of system, it is very suited for utility application.
