Abstract :
The authors have calculated the inner field distribution from uniform line sources and Taylor line sources in a multi-mode rectangular waveguide. As a result, the existence of the sidewalls gives rise to the ripples in the fields around the center and the dark area around the edges. Taylor distribution excitation along the waveguide width survives in propagation well in comparison with the uniform excitation.
