  • Abstract
Conventional buck power factor correction converters have increased conduction loss and switching loss due to input rectifier bridges. To reduce this conduction losses the rectifier circuit and PFC has been combined together to form bridgeless buck PFC converter. In this paper, analysis and design of conventional bridgeless buck rectifier and also modified bridgeless buck rectifier with single inductor is presented. The low utilization of the magnetic component in bridgeless buck rectifier is improved by modified bridgeless buck rectifier with single inductor. Simulation of closed loop controlled bridgeless buck PFC rectifier with two inductor and modified topology is performed in MATLAB software to verify its operation.
