Abstract
In this paper the problem of voltage sags are focused and a UPFC is implemented for mitigating the voltage sag problems due to the swell on the circulating current. The UPFC is implemented with two voltage source three level converters. The simulation is conducted by using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The simulation result shows the proposed UPFC has a good effect in the mitigation of the voltage sag.
