Abstract
In this paper different topologies of three phase rectifier are studied and compared with proposed universal bridge topology. From the universal bridge topology: regulation of dc link voltage, low harmonic distortion of line current, near sinusoidal current waveform, power factor correction, bidirectional power flow is obtained by simulation using Matlab/Simulink software. For that synchronous reference frame theory is used to generate reference current and hysteresis current controller for switching pulse generation.
