Abstract :
Convergence of networks over IP (Internet protocol) is very important for end to end user satisfaction and mobility for next generation wireless networks. LTE (Long Term Evolution), along with convergence of other networks will improve throughput, coverage area, user experience, mobility and also provide reduced end-to-end Latency. It also provides support for IP-based traffic with end-to-end Quality of service (QoS) for the multimedia users. In this paper such a Convergence of 3G (3 rd Generation), IEEE 802.16, IEEE 802.11 with an LTE backbone network for improving the network performance is analyzed. Here Performance metrics such as data bytes sent/received received, average delay, Jitter are analyzed using QUALNET 6.1.
