Abstract :
In this paper, an approach using Hybrid Genetic Algorithm and Particle Swarm Optimization Search (HGAPSO) is proposed for placing Distributed Generators (DGs) in distorted distribution system. The objective is to reduce the real power loss and average voltage total harmonic distortion (THDv) of the distorted distribution system. A detailed performance analysis is carried out on IEEE 18 bus system to express the effectiveness of the proposed method.
