Abstract :
Contactless energy charging system for electric vehicles is known as a promising step toward wider introduction of electric vehicle into the market. In this paper, the inductive link of a contactless energy charging system using rectangular coils is designed. Then, system parameters are optimized to achieve a better performance while minimizing the implementation cost. The design and optimization results are verified through 3-D Finite Element Model for electromagnetic field calculation, and the equivalent circuit simulation. Finally, the optimal designed system is implemented on a prototype scale for dynamic model simulations.
