Asymptotic boundary conditions for scattering from transversely corrugated cylinders

Abstract :
The asymptotic corrugated boundary condition is applied to arbitrarily shaped cylindrical structures. The corrugation width/corrugation period (w/p) ratio is introduced to the surface integral equations and solved using point matching method of moments. The numerical solutions are validated with the series solutions of circular cylinders. Some complicated examples are presented. Some of these examples show that the impedance boundary conditions may not be used reliably with these examples.
