Abstract :
Ultra wide Band Notched Diamond Shaped Patch (DSP) antenna is proposed in this communication. This antenna consists of a diamond shaped patch with rectangular notch inserted in the main body and a microstrip feed line of 50 ohm characteristic impedance is used. Various antenna parameters such as Impedance bandwidth, Return loss and Radiation pattern of proposed antenna are well investigated and studied. The proposed design shows support for 600 – 960 MHz, 2.4 and 3.1–10.6 GHz, which includes some of the bands of GSM, LTE, UMTS and WLAN application. The simulated result shows a return loss of 7.5 dB with stable and omnidirectional radiation pattern among all relevant bands. Finally, the proposed antenna is compared with other three antennas from the same application domain and comparative results are presented. Proposed antenna supports different frequency band to provide various modern day services.
