Abstract :
An integrated array of parallel-plate resonators for microfluidic sensing is proposed. The numerical method used for the analysis of this array and the related design procedure are described. It is demonstrated that the array can be designed to show a high quality factor. Moreover, sensitivity of the proposed sensor is higher than 200 GHz/RIU for a wide range of refractive indices. The proposed sensor lends itself to real-time flow monitoring applications where high sensitivity is required.
