  • Abstract
A new approach on LNA design is presented. It consists in using simultaneously a series feedback and common source series feedback (CSSF). This is done by using a series resistance in the drain and a series inductance in the source of a PHEMT. Band-pass filters realized with 50 /spl Omega/ microstrip lines in the /spl Pi/ topology form were used to match both the input and the output. To examine the performance, the numerical results obtained with the approach are discussed and compared with two LNA´s configurations.
