            Abstract :
We present a comparison of two different broadband millimeter-wave antenna structures fabricated on high dielectric constant substrates. The geometries under investigation are the hilo stacked patch, and the coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed aperture stacked patch (ASP). The relative merits and shortcomings of these structures are highlighted, in terms of the bandwidth, surface wave loss, back radiation, and integration/design ease. Possible methods to alleviate the shortcomings of the individual configurations are also postulated.
