Abstract :
By controlling the launch polarization into a calibrated, fixed differential group delay (DGD) element followed by a spectral polarimeter, we enhance the spectral polarimeter´s ability to measure fiber DGD from signal spectra, thus enabling improved noninstrusive polarisation mode dispersion (PMD) monitoring.
