Abstract :
A WDM/TDM-PON with /spl lambda/-selection-free transmitters is presented by cascading 1/spl times/16 AWGs and 1/spl times/8 splitters and employing ASE-injected FP-LDs. 1.25-Gb/s downstream and 622-Mb/s upstream transmissions over 60/spl deg/C temperature range are achieved in all 128 channels.
