Abstract :
In this paper, a fuzzy logic control using single sensor to extract maximum power point from photovoltaic system is presented. The proposed method can greatly improve the response time MPPT. This technique use the relationship between the output current of the photovoltaic array and duty cycle in order to adapt automatically the step change in the duty cycle and consequently to reach the maximum power point of the PV array. Compared with P&O method the proposed method can increase the response speed and accuracy at steady state. It is also able to damp oscillation around the operating point. This method has been evaluated by simulation using MATLAB/Simulink software, under different atmospheric conditions.. The obtained results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique and its ability for practical and efficient tracking of maximum power.
