  • Abstract
The output power of wind farm is strongly depend on the effectiveness of wind farm especially the position of wind turbine. It has been provide in different measurement that the power generated is less than the summation of the power generated by each turbine. The energy losses can be attributed to the wake effect. In that context this article is involved to analyse the wake impact on wind farm performance using two analytical models: Jensen and Ishihara. The obtained results show that Ishihara model is better than the Jensen one for single wake case, for the reason that it considers the atmospheric and the rotor generated turbulence. This study demonstrates also that both of models are unable to predict correctly the power generated by a row of wind turbines.
