Abstract :
A lot of attention is being paid to wind energy due to the focus on renewable energy. Wind resource in Algeria varies from one location to another. Wind speed is better in terms of electricity generation, but There are many difficulties in ensuring higher quality power into the grid. The solution of these problems could be solved by FACTS devices in the system and particularly the STATCOM. Which uses the principle reactive power (injection or absorption).
