  • Abstract
    Solar updraft tower is one of solar mechanisms which can produce electricity by heating air. Heliostat is used in some mechanisms to collect solar energy and then transfer its radiation into a receiver. CFD software is used to find optimum solar updraft tower mechanism by changing tilt angle of collector (β) and tower angle (α), increase energy by using heliostat, and simulate optimized design according to Sabha city physiography. In this research, it is found that (β) and (α) adjusment can increase power output, heliostat has ability to increase power output, and Sabha city can produce 200 to 649.5 kW by utilizing optimized solar updraft tower.
