Abstract
The mathematical steps in establishing fractional stages of scattering problems are discussed and some specific examples and case studies given. It is shown how such fractional stages can, under certain approximations, be viewed as scattering from objects with "intermediate" surface impedance boundary conditions. Physical interpretations of these results are presented.
