Abstract :
CPM waveforms having small spectral footprint and constant envelope are suitable as radar waveforms. This study utilizes a framework based on Laurent Decomposition which expresses the signal in terms of a set of PAM components and associated pseudo-codes and eliminates the need to deal with over-sampled waveform. Exploiting these properties, a mismatched filter design technique based on the pseudo-code is developed for M-ary CPM waveforms Simulation results show a significant improvement of the Peak to Sidelobe Level (PSL). Moreover, the mismatched filter design method is able to optimize the PSL over the ambiguity surface area of interest.
