Abstract :
We simulate a band-pass filter. This filter is a multilayer structure with 23 layers and 28 vias. The simulation is performed by an integral equation based on the method of moments (MoM). Some new techniques are used to speed up the calculation. Triangular-quadrilateral hybrid basis functions are used to reduce the unknowns, the unknown edges with more than two connecting cells are embedded to simplify the problem, and the absorbing boundary condition in MoM codes is used to treat the vias connected to the ground planes. A fast Green´s function via spectral interpolation is used to calculate the Green´s function efficiency. Compared with the experiment results, the analysis we used for the filter is not only efficient but also accurate.
