Abstract :
Multi-angle imaging using navigation satellites is a development of bistatic synthetic aperture radar (BiSAR). With navigation satellites as transmitters of opportunity and a fixed receiver, 26 imaging experiments are conducted and the results are shown. Target scatting characteristics are analyzed and we found that specular reflection is an important property for targets in BiSAR geometry. Because of the scatting characteristics, some scene features are highlighted while others are suppressed in single-angle BiSAR images. In order to enhance the quality of these images, an adaptive feature-classified fusion method is used to composite multiple images from different aspect angles to form a fusion image in which information of interest is enhanced.
