Abstract :
As the single polarized radar don´t have the polarization measurement and processing ability, this brings fundamental difficulty in anti-interference in polarization domain. By using the difference between sum and difference beam pattern in mono-pulse radar, the polarization decomposition and polarization estimation method of single polarization returns was studied. A novel processing method for suppressing interference in sum and difference channel is proposed. The full analytic expression is given. The advantage of the method is made single polarized radar own polarization measurement and anti-interference ability by skilled using of the cross polarization component of antenna and pattern difference. The validity of research work is demonstrated by the electromagnetism computation data and simulation experiments. The results indicate that it can suppress the jamming signal effectively and the performance of angle estimation is improved. All above have significant illumining and directing meaning for exploiting polarimetric measurements capability of current radar equipments and enhancing their information acquisition and processing capacity.
