Abstract
We investigate the equivalence between spectral expansion of the complete and of the homogenized wave operators, and the construction of the the complete and the effective Green´s functions. This provides the theoretical basis for construction of the 3D dyadic Green´s function via spectral synthesis comprising of the effective discrete and continuous spectra.
