Abstract :
Modern radar uses more and more complex waveforms. Some waveforms are developed intentionally to make their intercept almost impossible. The main distinctive features of radar signal are hidden in its intrapulse structure. The intrapulse modulation analysis of a detected signal is a major task of an ELINT/ESM system. As a result of measurement, for each pulse specific description, so called pulse descriptor word (PDW) or finger printing, containing primary parameters is created. To determine a PDW in case of M-ary Frequency Shift Keying intrapulse modulation (M-FSK intrapulse modulation) in the recent hardware implementation of electronic intelligence system receivers is hardly achieved. The algorithm for unknown radar signals with M-FSK intrapulse modulation by new approach in signal analysis is described. The proposed algorithm is performed on the base of Subspectral Decomposition Method (SDM). The SDM principle and results of modeling and simulation of M-FSK intrapulse modulation signal recognition and decomposition are presented.
