Abstract
The maximum power point tracking technique is widely used to extract maximum power from the PV generator. In this paper, a comparative study of the performance of maximum power point tracker algorithms is presented, under different atmospheric conditions. These algorithms are based on variable step size of Perturb & Observe, Conductance-Increment methods and Perturb & Observe using fuzzy logic controller to track the maximum power point with more efficiency. The objective is to compare the speed of response time and oscillations around the maximum power point for each technique. All the algorithms have been implemented in MATLAB /Simulink environment.
