  • Abstract
We propose a complete system solution for a GMR biosensing and detection assay, including the design and fabrication of GMR biosensor, frontend for small signal extraction, data conversion, and the backend for signal processing. The overall system was evaluated comprehensively by experiment, and a sensitivity of sub-50ppm has been achieved. This sensitivity is equivalent to about 30 magnetic particles on a 120μm × 120μm sensor and among the best of published results in literature.
