Abstract :
A CMOS RF front end of down conversion tuner is designed using UMC 0.18um MM/RF CMOS process for new generation satellite system. It is mainly composed of mixers, a programmable amplifier, IF amplifiers and PLL frequency synthesizers. It can be used to complete signal receiving, frequency conversing and signal amplifying. Based on simulation, IF gain is about 20dB,Noise figure is below 12dB, 1dB compression point, IIP3 and IIP2 is about -5dBm, 8dBm and 25dBm. The sample chip will be taped out soon.
