Abstract
The performance of beam forming in amplify-and-forward relay networks, where the source-relay and the relay-destination channels experience correlated Nakagami-m and correlated Rician fading, is investigated. Based on the cumulative distribution function of the signal-to-noise ratio at the receiver, the exact closed-form expression for the average symbol error rate is derived. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the efficacy of our performance analysis, also illustrate the impact of the channel correlation, fading severity, Rician factor and antenna configuration on the performance of the system.
