Abstract
This paper introduces a novel train-ground wireless system at 400 MHz based on leaky cable transmission of communication based train control (CBTC) in urban rail transit. Adopting 400MHz band is to avoid the interference of civil equipment at 2.4GHz. Benefited from low frequency band, leaky cable can provide longer transmission distance without relay equipment, and the reliability of CBTC is increased. In this work, the performance evaluation includes series of tests, such as throughput, transmission delay, and packet drops. The tests results show that the scheme possesses practicability and enlightening meaning on the design of CBTC in the future.
