Abstract :
We propose an analog predistortion linearizer based on diode at millimeter-wave frequency. Taking advantage of tuning the bias of the diodes, the linearizer is capable of providing different combinations of the amplitude and phase characteristics for the use of solid-state power amplifier (SSPA) and travelling wave tube amplifier (TWTA). The experiment validation shows that, about 6.1 dB gain expansion and 20 ° phase compression can be compensated for SSPA and about 3.4 dB gain expansion and 12 ° phase expansion can be obtained for use with TWTA at millimeter-wave frequency.
