Abstract :
In this paper, an omni-directional cylindrical patch array antenna using liquid crystal polymer (LCP) technology is designed, the proposed antenna is composed of 8 linear sub-arrays fed by three-stage T-junction power divider network, and each sub-array contains 5 series-fed rectangular microstrip patches. Comparisons between measured and simulated results verify that the cylindrical patch array antenna achieves a 10dB return loss between 23.45GHz and 24.29GHz and the measured gain at 24GHz is 6.9dB, also the proposed antenna performs a good omni-directional pattern in H-plane at 24GHz.
