Abstract :
In this paper, a new design of a compact ultra-wideband monopole antenna covering 3.1-12 GHz with four band-notched characteristics is presented. The proposed antenna utilized three circular split-ring and a square split-ring to create four electromagnetic interference notched-bands including WLAN(5.15-5.35 GHz and 5.725-5.825 GHz), C-band(3.7-4.2 GHz) and X-band(7.3-7.8 GHz) satellite communication system and. Simulated results show that the designed antenna with compact size of 26×30 mm2 has an impedance of 3.1-12 GHz for VSWR less than 2 except the four frequency stop-bands to the UWB communication system. The results show that proposed antenna are very suitable for various portable UWB system.
