Abstract :
Implementation of integrated wiring system (IWS) architectures is advantageous due to weight savings, ease of automated manufacturing, and centralization of component location. An IWS comprises major trunk ribbon harnesses for many circuits, the conductors of which are separated into harnesses to individual electronic units by wiring integration assemblies (WIA). This paper reports on frequency domain testing and modeling for the characterization of the crosstalk performance of WIAs, prediction, and comparison with time domain results. Recommendations for procedures in signal organization for the WIAs are provided
